The incredible database at boardgamegeek.com enables players to log their plays, and they sure do log 'em. From the sampling of thousands of gameplay loggers, we get an idea of the most popular games of the past year.

User Bas Luijten assembled the list, which revealed that some old favorites are still very popular. Of the top 10 games, only two came out in 2014. All of them are games I’d gladly play right this second. If you don’t own any of these games, well, you should. The top 10 is a stellar list.

Next to each game is the number of unique users who logged at least one play in 2014.
